Conductor

A conductor is the wire that carries electrical current along an overhead or underground distribution line.

A conductor is the current-carrying wire of a distribution line, typically aluminium or copper, either bare overhead or insulated underground. Conductor type, size and tension drive sag, clearance and structural loading, so conductor data is fundamental to distribution design and pole loading analysis.
