Pole Loading Analysis
Pole loading analysis checks whether a utility pole can structurally carry its attachments under code load cases.
Pole loading analysis is the structural verification of a distribution pole against the load cases required by the governing code (such as NESC or CSA). It models the pole, its attachments, guys and anchors, and checks capacity under combined wind, ice and tension loads. Tools such as SPIDAcalc or PoleForeman are used to compute a pass/fail result per structure, and any failure is resolved with make-ready.
