Make-Ready

Make-ready is the work needed to prepare a pole so a new attachment can be added safely.

Make-ready is the engineering and construction work required to prepare an existing utility pole for a new attachment — for example a telecom or fibre line. It can include transferring or re-tensioning existing conductors, adding guys or anchors, or replacing the pole entirely. Make-ready is determined from a structural (pole loading) analysis, and the result is a specific, buildable set of changes that clears the structure to code.
